As usual...I start something and don't finish it. As you can see it's been over 2 months since my last blog. I blame the move...I can't blame myself :-). Although there are still some boxes here and there we are pretty much getting settled.
Justine is learning to master the stairs. She can walk down on her 2 feet while holding on to one of us or to the wall (as opposed to sliding down on her bottom or belly). I think today was the first time she walked all they way up the same way (on 2 feet). It still freaks me out though so there are gates at the top and bottom to keep her from having free reign.
We've been having some rough nights getting her to sleep lately. She also experienced her first real time out today...and actually did quite well. It was time for dinner and she wouldn't sit in her seat. She wanted to go for a walk in the stroller instead (our new nightly activity). Waylan pulled out a dining room chair and she actually sat there with us out of sight for 1 minute without trying to get down and without crying. Then we explained that it was time for dinner first and a walk second. After that she sat down at the table for dinner. It worked!! She did mention "walk, walk" several times during dinner though. So after dinner (and after cleaning mashed potatoes out of her hair) we went for a walk.
That's all for tonight. It's bed time!
