Randomness

Tomorrow is Mother's Day! Woo hoo! For many, many years this was not a happy day for me because I didn't have a child to celebrate with. However, this is my 3rd Mother's Day now and I love it. Waylan is working on Mother's Day so we started celebrating Friday night. I got a box of chocolates, a good smelling candle and a Razr cell phone. I SO needed a new phone and I'm glad to finally have a new one. And it's pink...sweet! But now I need to learn how to use it. For starters, half my phone numbers disappeared in the transfer. If I don't call you, don't answer your call, or don't respond to your voicemail don't take it personal. I'm in the learning curve stage. I also got to sleep in this morning (sort of). If you consider 9:30 sleeping in. I could barely open my eyes even at 9:30 because I was up until 3am making a scrapbook for Pastor Mark's going away tomorrow. The cutest part about the day was that Justine kept telling me Happy Birthday instead of Happy Mother's Day. She's so cute!

I believe summer is just about here. We spent lots of time outside today and Justine was the dirtiest I've ever seen her!! She was so filthy I put shampoo in her bath water to give her a little extra chance of getting all clean.

For months now Waylan has been working on his shop. He enclosed the garage so he can work on his taxidermy in there. It looks great and I think it would make an awesome scrapbook room. BUT that will NEVER happen. It's definately HIS room. He is finally finished and very proud of his work...and rightfully so. Now he can get back to the work that puts money into his pocket instead of out of it.

We have a busy day ahead tomorrow. Tomorrow is Mark's last day at the church. It's bittersweet. He is moving on to a new challenge and I'm sure he is excited. He is also sad and I'm curious to know if he will even be able to make it through his sermon (or me for that matter). After church is a pot luck lunch for him and his family. Of course we still have Awana that night. Justine is going to be pooped! I don't think she'll get a nap in tomorrow which always makes for an interesting night at Awana.

As for Awana, it's our last classroom night and the completion of the first year of Puggles. We have eleven 2 & 3 year olds; not bad for the first year of Puggles being offered in Awana. It's been a fun year and a year of learning for me. Two years olds are capable of so much more than we give them credit for sometimes. And they've grown up so much throughout the year. I just love them! Next week is Awards night and I get to promote my kids to the next club which is Cubbies. I'll spend this summer revamping Puggles just a bit so it can be even better next year.

I'm looking forward to next weekend. We are going to Fredericksburg to see my Mom and Step Dad. It's been almost 3 months since we've been there. It's SO relaxing out in the country and I'm ready for some down time. Granny also needs a Justine fix!

Well, I've rambled enough. Time for bed.

So Waylan didn't do so bad after all! And you thought he wouldn't have anything planned!! You've come such a long way in cell phone models finally!! You do tend to be cell phone challenged though.
